Data Analyst
ROLE SUMMARY:
We’re looking for an iGaming Data Analyst who lives close to the data and cares deeply about correctness, completeness, and speed.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can keep the BI & Analytics engine running day-to-day: QA data, identify discrepancies early, chase issues proactively with backend/IT teams, and build/maintain the data structures that enable reliable reporting and insight.
You will be the person who makes sure we can trust the numbers - and when something breaks, you find it fast, communicate it clearly, and help drive the fix through to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Quality & Monitoring
Own daily/weekly QA routines to ensure data is correct, complete, and delivered on time.
Proactively identify anomalies, gaps, duplicates, and mismatches across key business tables (players, bets, payments, bonuses, CRM events, etc.).
Build and maintain automated checks, reconciliation logic, and alerting (where possible).
Issue Investigation & Resolution
Triage data issues quickly: isolate root cause, quantify impact, and propose fixes/workarounds.
Communicate clearly with IT/back-end/data engineering teams to raise tickets, define requirements, and follow up until resolution.
Keep stakeholders informed when issues affect reporting, KPIs, or decision-making.
Data Structures & Enablement
Create and maintain new tables/views/data models to support business needs (new KPIs, new bonus logic, new campaign tracking, new vendor feeds, etc.).
Support data optimisation initiatives: query tuning, indexing strategy (where applicable), storage efficiency, and performance improvements.
Work with stored procedures: review, troubleshoot, optimise, and help maintain as required.
Operational Delivery
Support the BI/Analytics team with fast turnaround analysis when needed (SQL-first).
Contribute to documentation: definitions, table lineage, QA processes, and “known issues / fixes” knowledge base.
Help introduce repeatable processes so the team spends less time firefighting and more time delivering insights.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience in an iGaming data/BI/analytics role (required).
3+ years of strong SQL with proven experience writing complex queries for analytics and reconciliation.
Comfortable with stored procedures, joins across large datasets, and performance-aware SQL patterns.
Solid understanding of data structures, dimensional modelling concepts, and how reporting tables should be designed.
Experience with data optimisation (query performance, large-table strategy, incremental logic, avoiding costly scans, etc.).
Confident working with technical teams: able to explain issues precisely, propose solutions, and push tickets through.
Strong attention to detail and a “trust the numbers” mindset.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities - without losing discipline and quality.
